The city’s so-called “democratic socialist” mayor, Zohran Mamdani, decided to throw an iftar dinner right inside Gracie Mansion—the official mayor’s residence. But it wasn’t just any dinner. Among the cozy guests was Mahmoud Khalil, a man who’s known for his anti-Israel activism and who became infamous after the Trump administration tried to deport him, branding him a supporter of Hamas. Let that sink in—the mayor rolling out the red carpet for a man with a history tied to terrorist sympathizers, all under the flag of “inclusion.”
For years, progressives have slammed Christians and conservatives for even the smallest trace of religion in public spaces. The mere mention of a nativity scene or prayer at a football game has the left in hysterics. But suddenly, when it comes to Islam—especially when it’s attached to radical figures the left wants to elevate—there are no rules. The hypocrisy could not be more obvious. Liberals scream about theocracy when an evangelical opens a Bible, but look away when their political allies push Islamic festivities into the heart of city government.

Gracie Mansion isn’t some random corner bakery—it’s the symbolic seat of power for the nation’s largest city. Political events there send a message to every New Yorker about what matters, who’s in charge, and where the city is headed. Under Mamdani, it looks like New York is less concerned with American values than it is with pandering to radical activists and globalist interests. Inviting a figure marked as a threat by federal authorities is an insult to every law-abiding citizen and a slap in the face to the American people.
The left pretends to care about diversity, but it’s only diversity that fits their anti-American agenda. Invite a Christian or Jewish leader to Gracie Mansion, and the outrage machine goes into overdrive. Invite someone the Trump administration flagged as a terrorist supporter, and suddenly it’s all about “celebrating community.” The double standard is breathtaking. This is not about tolerance—it’s about turning a blind eye to extremism as long as it fits the progressive playbook.
If New Yorkers don’t wake up, their city will keep sliding into chaos, led by politicians more interested in virtue signaling to extremists than keeping Americans safe and united. Is this really the future anyone wants, where terrorists’ friends dine with the mayor and American values take a backseat?
