The left has made a mess of border security, and our Department of Homeland Security is barely keeping things together. Democrats, desperate to please their progressive base, won’t even support the basics like funding for DHS employees. Yet when Senate Republicans had the chance to force them to take a stand—to make them show their true colors for the entire country to see—they stayed silent.
Republicans had a golden opportunity to put their opponents on record. Picture it: Americans could have watched Democrats choose party politics over national security. Instead, the GOP ducked out of town, refusing to fight for the people who protect us every single day. Why the hesitation? Was it fear of bad press? Another backroom deal with lobbyists? Or are some “Republicans” just too comfortable letting the Biden chaos continue?

This is why conservatives are fed up with so-called leaders in Washington. We expect Democrats to play dirty games and undermine border security. That’s their thing—open borders, virtue signaling, and cozying up to globalist elites. But when Republicans go along with the script, who’s left to stand up for American workers and families? These weak-kneed Republicans act more like career politicians than defenders of freedom.
Let’s be honest: the American people want safety, not more excuses. They see the drugs pouring across the border, the crime, and the chaos. All it would have taken is a little backbone in the Senate to show voters who really oppose basic law and order. But instead, business as usual—shrug, shuffle, and rush to the airport.
If Republican leaders can’t even stand up against Democrat games on something as basic as DHS funding, maybe it’s time for a new generation of real conservatives who will. How long will Americans have to wait before someone in D.C. actually puts the country first?
