With enemies seemingly comfortable in our own backyard, one man’s shocking actions highlight a quagmire in our immigration policies.
Wearing a bold sweatshirt proclaiming allegiance and sporting an Iranian t-shirt underneath, a man opened fire in a local bar at its most vulnerable time—closing hour. Patrons, caught unawares, were at their weakest, scrambling to get home. It’s a grim scene, with two American lives tragically cut short and fourteen others wounded. This individual, who held the dubious title of “paperwork American,” reminds us of glaring holes in the asylum system, revealing the potential threat of individuals who aren’t integrating but rather taking terrifying advantage.
When we think about our safe havens, Texas probably springs to mind as a bastion of American strength.
