An FBI agent located in Utah has been jailed after allegations that he sexually assaulted multiple children surfaced.
Robert Alexander Smith has been charged with four felony charges of first-degree aggravated child sexual abuse in addition to two class-B misdemeanor charges of lewdness, eight class-A misdemeanor charges of lewdness involving a juvenile, and four class-A misdemeanor charges of lewdness involving an adult. He is accused of abusing his position of power in an inappropriate manner in order to sexually abuse young people.
In the year 2020, Smith was taken into custody after a little girl told her mother that Smith had prompted her to improperly touch him beneath his clothes by saying something to her that made her feel "extremely uncomfortable." This revelation led to Smith's imprisonment. According to the documents filed with the court, it did not take long to identify four additional victims who, like Smith, remembered having similar inappropriate experiences with the defendants. In addition to this, they stated that an FBI agent had grabbed them.
According to the arrest report, Smith had a position of special trust as it pertains to the victims in this situation.
