The Democratic Congressman from California, Ro Khanna, is calling on President Joe Biden to make big changes to his Middle East foreign policy strategy, especially during the Israel-Hamas conflict. Khanna’s not just asking for a teensy-weensy policy tweak — he wants Biden to recognize a Palestinian state, y’all! That’s a pretty bold move, ain’t it?
Khanna says Biden could be a real hero if he rounds up some friends from the Gulf, brings Israel to the table, and even has a chat with the leaders in Palestine. He’s like, “Hey, I’m gonna recognize a Palestinian state and push for a two-state solution. Let’s all get along, folks!” Well, that’s a pretty big ask, Ro.

Oh, and get this — Khanna’s not too concerned about Biden’s support among Democrats or the upcoming election. Nope, he’s waving those worries away. He’s all like, “Forget about politics, Joe! Think about the folks in the Middle East. Do it for them, and you’ll leave a legacy to remember.”
Now, hold on to your hats, ’cause Khanna also wants Biden to stop sending weapons to Israel. He thinks that bear-hugging Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu ain’t the way to go. And, he’s also calling for a ceasefire and the release of hostages. Khanna’s pretty sure Biden can make all this happen with just one little phone call. Yep, you heard that right — one call, and we’ll have peace in the Middle East! Easy peasy, right?
But hey, the White House says they’re still keen on the idea of a Palestinian state and a two-state solution. They’ve been working on this since practically day one! And they’re not givin’ up yet. Plus, they’re like, “Hey, we’re optimistic. We’re gonna keep at it ’cause we see a chance here!” That’s some serious ‘never say die’ attitude right there.
Well, well, well, look at that! It’s all about making friends and sealing the deal, ain’t it? Let’s see if President Biden’s gonna take Congressman Khanna’s advice and shake things up in the Middle East! And who knows, maybe we’ll see peace in our time!
