According to Congressman Adam Schiff, he wants to inform his constituents about what he's doing, but he also believes that it's his responsibility to be an "explainer" and put all of the negative information into context. This means that he believes that everyone else is dumb.
Currently, Schiff is in a tight race for the seat held by Senator Dianne Feinstein. There are three main candidates in the race: Barbara Lee, Katie Porter, and Lexi Reese. With a large number of undecided voters, the outcome of the election could still change.
Although he has the support of Nancy Pelosi, the former House Speaker, and a large fundraising network, Schiff has some disadvantages.
