AOC’s Power Play Backfires! Squad Drama Exposed in Tell-All Book

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s liberal shenanigans on Capitol Hill have ruffled some feathers among her own party members, according to a juicy new book spillin’ the tea on the “Squad” and their antics. The book, The Squad: AOC and the Hope of a Political Revolution, by journalist Ryan Grim, spills all the deets on AOC’s quest to be a political powerhouse while simultaneously stepping on some toes.

Seems like AOC’s got a bit of an “irreconcilable contradiction” goin’ on, tryna be the darling of the progressives and leading a revolution while cozying up to the establishment. The book spills the tea on a sit-in protest AOC pulled at then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office in 2019, where she basically thought Pelosi would thank her for the disruption. Yeah, right.

And get this, the book claims AOC’s been stepping on some toes, particularly those of Pelosi and fellow Rep. Pramila Jayapal, chairwoman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. Jayapal apparently had to tell AOC to keep her staff in line, and even vented to others about AOC’s lack of organizing experience. Oof, sounds like AOC’s getting schooled by the seasoned pros.

Not even Pelosi is spared from AOC’s drama, as the book dives into their rocky relationship. AOC called out Pelosi for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s lack of interest in how she unseated a longtime Dem, and according to the book, Pelosi was not having it. Looks like AOC’s got some lessons to learn about making friends on the Hill!
