In a surprising turn of events, it seems that tax evasion is no longer the exclusive domain of presidential sons. It appears that women, too, have the right to avoid paying their “fair share” of taxes. This revelation comes as President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, is now joined by his half-sister, Ashley Biden, in owing past-due taxes, according to a report from Fox News.
According to Fox News, Ashley Biden, the daughter of President Biden and his second wife, Jill Biden, is reportedly facing a tax bill of $5,000 in unpaid income taxes. This information was obtained from a “recent tax lien docket” reviewed by Fox. Liens are legal claims imposed by the government to secure unpaid taxes after repeated attempts to collect them.

The unpaid taxes in question were accumulated from a period between Jan. 1, 2015, and Jan. 1, 2021, according to the report. Fox News reached out to Ashley Biden and her attorney for comment, but received no response. Similarly, the White House did not respond to a similar request for comment.
In a document cited by Fox, the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue informed Ashley Biden that the unpaid taxes, along with any interest, penalties, or additions, constitute a lien in favor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The founder of nonprofit Marco Polo and former President Trump aide, Garrett Ziegler, expressed his disappointment in the Biden family’s apparent carelessness, emphasizing the irony of their failure to pay their own taxes despite President Biden’s calls for millionaires and billionaires to pay their “fair share.”
While the scale of Ashley Biden’s tax evasion is not comparable to the amount owed by her brother Hunter, Ziegler pointed out that it is problematic that both of President Biden’s living children failed to fulfill their tax obligations. Despite Joe Biden’s constant rhetoric about the wealthy not paying their fair share, it seems that his own family is not exempt from such practices.
Ashley Biden, 42, is the youngest child of President Biden and the only child of his second wife, Jill Biden. She holds a master’s degree in social work and has worked as a social worker in the Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families. Fox News also reported that she has recently applied for a doctorate in clinical social work.
As this story unfolds, it raises questions about the integrity and financial responsibility of the Biden family. Will they be held accountable for their tax evasion, or will this incident be swept under the rug like so many others? Only time will tell.
