In a recent appearance on CNN, political commentator David Axelrod attempted to spin the truth about the efforts to hold President Joe Biden accountable for the shady dealings of his son, Hunter Biden. Axelrod claimed that the Republican-led House’s decision to pursue an impeachment inquiry into President Biden was nothing more than a scheme orchestrated by former President Donald Trump, whom Axelrod seems to believe still pulls all the strings in the GOP.

Axelrod whined that the Republicans were unfairly targeting President Biden over the actions of his son, Hunter. He complained that despite years of trying, the Republicans had failed to provide any evidence linking Joe Biden to his son’s questionable behavior. It seems Axelrod is unaware of the many questionable deals and influence-peddling schemes that the Biden family has engaged in over the years.
His statements reek of desperation as he tries to deflect attention away from the real issue at hand. The truth is that the American people deserve to know if their president and his family have engaged in any corrupt activities. Instead of facing the facts, Axelrod is attempting to paint the investigation as some sort of personal vendetta by Trump. It’s a typical tactic of the left – deflect, deflect, deflect.
Axelrod’s attempt to villainize Trump and paint him as the mastermind behind the House’s decision is laughable. It’s time for the Democrats and their mouthpieces in the media to accept that President Biden and his family are not above scrutiny. If there are no wrongdoings to be uncovered, then they should have nothing to fear from an investigation.
The fact that Axelrod is resorting to baseless conspiracy theories and finger-pointing is a clear sign that the Democrats are running scared. It’s time to put an end to these childish games and get to the bottom of the Biden family’s dealings. The American people deserve transparency and accountability from their elected officials. The Democrats, however, seem more interested in playing political games than upholding the values of honesty and integrity.
