In a shocking turn of events, Texas Republicans have reportedly joined forces with Democrats in an attempt to oust Attorney General Ken Paxton, who was impeached over the Memorial Day weekend. A total of 121 “ayes” and 23 “nays” were cast in favor of the motion to impeach Paxton, with two members abstaining from voting. It’s worth noting that one of the members who abstained was a Democrat, so clearly this whole process is riddled with questionable motives.

Texas law dictates that Paxton be removed from office immediately following the vote, pending the outcome of the upcoming impeachment trial in the state Senate. However, many Texas Republicans are not pleased with this outcome, arguing that the impeachment process lacks a clear and defined procedure. And who can blame them? It seems like another example of the corrupt political establishment uniting against a conservative leader who is simply trying to uphold the will of the people.

Attorney General Paxton himself expressed his disappointment in a statement, calling out the so-called “Republicans in Name Only” (RINOs) for aligning themselves with Joe Biden and the Democrats. He’s absolutely right. It’s disheartening to see members of his own party betray their conservative values and side with the left. But fear not, because Steve Bannon, host of War Room, has vowed to put pressure on the six Texas senators who have joined this misguided impeachment effort. These senators, including Kelly Hancock, Charles Schwertner, Mayes Middleton, Bryan Hughes, Charles Perry, and Drew Springer, will soon find themselves in the spotlight for their questionable actions.
Meanwhile, Paxton’s attorneys are fighting back, calling for 19 out of the 20 articles of impeachment to be dismissed. They argue that these allegations have been thrown at Paxton by his political opponents for years and that they undermine the will of the Texas voters. And they have a point. It seems like this impeachment is merely a desperate attempt to undermine a successful conservative leader who has been duly elected by the people.
It’s clear that this impeachment process is politically motivated and lacks a proper legal foundation. The individuals involved in this attempt to remove Paxton from office will soon face the consequences of their actions. Let’s hope that truth and justice prevail in the upcoming trial, and that Attorney General Paxton can continue to serve the people of Texas, as he was elected to do.
