Legendary college basketball coach Bobby Knight, who was a force to be reckoned with on and off the court, sadly passed away at the age of 83. As an esteemed conservative writer, it’s only fitting that we take a moment to reflect on the remarkable achievements of this patriotic gentleman.
Coach Knight began his illustrious career at West Point, where he quickly became a shining star. Winning an astounding 102 games over six seasons with Army, he proved himself to be a leader with exceptional talent. But he didn’t stop there. In 1979, he embarked on a remarkable journey at Indiana University, where he would etch his name in the annals of basketball history.
During his near three-decade tenure at Indiana, Knight led the Hoosiers to an impressive 662 victories and 24 NCAA tournament appearances. Not to mention, he cemented his legacy by clinching three national championships in 1976, 1981, and 1987. Talk about an unmatched track record!
