Biden and Harris Bungle Pittsburgh Rally With Absurd Claims and Pandering Acts

On Monday afternoon, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took to the campaign trail in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but not before Biden managed to bungle some remarks regarding the ongoing turmoil in Gaza. Fresh off his vacation, he made the extraordinary claim that he had communicated with Hersh Goldberg-Polin, a murdered American hostage, while simultaneously aiming Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for not doing enough. Strangely absent from Biden’s comments, however, was a single word of criticism aimed at Hamas, which raises questions about his priorities on the global stage.

When Biden brought his usual incoherence to Pittsburgh, it was clear that he might have been better off skipping the event. His speech was peppered with outlandish assertions, the most ridiculous being his description of Kamala Harris as possessing the “moral compass of a saint.” It’s hard to comprehend how anyone could make such a comment when examining her questionable track record and the fabrications that have gone unchallenged during her time in office. This proclamation seemed more suited for stand-up comedy than serious political discourse.

Harris followed Biden with her own set of baffling comments, which only further diminished any credibility left in the room. She branded Biden as “transformative,” but to any sane observer, transformative equals higher prices on necessities, skyrocketing interest rates putting homes out of reach for many, and a border policy inviting a flood of illegal immigrants. So, sure, if transforming America into a struggling nation is the goal, then Biden and Harris have hit the jackpot.

Her remarks quickly devolved into a standard lecture on “seeing potential, unburdened by past failures,” although Harris is very much attached to the troubled record of the Biden administration. The burden of soaring costs and lost opportunities rests squarely on their shoulders, but Harris seems blissfully unaware of her complicity.

Then came the comedic gold during her remarks when an audience member suggested imprisoning former President Donald Trump. Harris erupted with laughter, revealing not just her contempt for political opponents but also a troubling disregard for the very norms and ideals she professes to defend. In a twist of irony, she borrowed ideas from Trump while claiming to stand against foreign takeovers of American companies, seemingly tailored just for the unions present.

The most entertaining moment was Harris’s ever-changing accents, showcasing her remarkable ability to pander to her audience. One could listen to her deliver the same line in Detroit and then change her tone entirely in Pittsburgh. It’s as if she holds a different dialect for each city she visits, which only adds to the authenticity crisis plaguing this duo. Biden’s tall tales and Harris’s chameleon-like tendencies fatten the case for critics who say that nothing these two say can be taken at face value.
