The Biden administration is shaking things up with some “shrinkflation” talk ahead of the president’s upcoming State of the Union address. Yes, you heard that right, “shrinkflation.” That’s a fancy word for when companies give you less stuff for the same price. And let’s be honest, that’s just plain un-American!
Now, those left-leaning Democrats are all riled up about this shrinkflation thing, claiming it’s all the fault of those big greedy corporations. But hold on just a minute! The Biden team is only just hopping on this bandwagon now. Could it be a convenient way for them to point fingers away from their own economic blunders and blame it all on the poor old companies? It sure looks that way!

The Republicans, bless their hearts, are calling out Biden’s attacks on shrinkflation, pointing the blame right where it belongs – squarely on the shoulders of the administration’s out-of-control spending and the Federal Reserve’s pandemic policies.
Some smarty-pants economist over at the Competitive Enterprise Institute even chimed in, saying, “Shrinkflation is part of the great COVID inflation.” And you know what? He’s got a point!
Even the official inflation stats, like the consumer price index, already take shrinkflation into account. So, what’s all the fuss about, Biden?

And get this, folks, it’s even made its way to Sesame Street! Cookie Monster himself is up in arms about shrinkflation. Can you believe it? But wait, there’s more – the White House is using Cookie Monster to push their shrinkflation agenda. It’s all starting to look a little bit like a circus, if you ask me!
Looks like Biden’s hoping this whole shrinkflation charade will distract folks from the dud economy he’s been presiding over. The man might even bring it up during his big State of the Union speech, trying to sound all popular and relevant. But the truth is, folks are hip to his game. They’re not buying what he’s selling, not even with Sesame Street’s help.
And speaking of not buying, Biden’s approval ratings aren’t exactly soaring. Most folks aren’t impressed with his handle on the economy. Can you blame them?
