Former President Joe Biden apparently thinks he’s the king of debates, with an agenda that looks more like a toddler’s take-it-or-leave-it offer. In a strategic power play, Biden handpicked everything—from the debate dates to the network airing the event and even the format and location. The whole shebang was rolled out in a video that seemed less like a professional announcement and more like a challenge to Donald Trump to play ball.
Surprisingly, Trump decided to take the bait. How that turned out was nothing short of spectacular for comedy lovers everywhere, especially after Trump’s campaign whipped up a montage showcasing Biden’s struggles with language during the debate. Clearly, it was a show that didn’t go quite as planned for Team Biden.

Following this awkward spectacle, it appears that Biden’s campaign wasn’t quite as bulletproof as they hoped. Since that debate, Biden’s campaign has crumbled like a cheap deck of cards, leaving Kamala Harris eyeing the role of the Democratic nominee for 2024. Biden’s team is now on the lookout for a turd who can dress up like a unicorn and make a case for voting Democrat… without that pesky cognitive decline getting in the way.
The latest misstep is a public statement from Trump’s campaign revealing they aren’t interested in a second debate with Harris under the current rules. They rightly pointed out that there’s still a significant amount of political chaos surrounding Biden and the Democrats, so planning for a debate with someone who might not even be the nominee seems silly at best.
Trump’s team went on to make it clear that even the left is doubting Harris’s ability to stand up against him. They referenced none other than Barack Obama himself—yep, the last Democrat president—to highlight concerns that Harris might not cut it against Trump. Reportedly, Obama hasn’t rushed to endorse Harris, a sign that even the Democrat heavyweights are hedging their bets regarding her capabilities.
While leftist social media types bellow about Trump’s refusal to debate, claiming it’s an act of cowardice, one can only chuckle. The reality is, why should Trump play by the rules set forth by a man whose underwhelming performance during the last debate should have disqualified him from influencing future political discourse? Democrats are attempting to cook up a debate scenario that was crafted by a man who insulted his campaign.
It is essential to consider how many Democrats would have even wanted a debate with Trump had the tables been turned. The irony, of course, is that they want to stick to the very rules that Biden dictated while not even being in the race anymore. With the Democrats in turmoil and seemingly scrambling to find a candidate, it’s apparent that Trump is playing a far smarter game than they are willing to admit. The left should probably stick to golf instead of politics. After all, they might have an aging figure who’s set to retire soon and could use a new partner.
