The Biden campaign has officially bunkered down, declining former President Donald Trump’s invitation to a thrilling 18-hole golf match. Apparently, Joe Biden’s consuming schedule of “leading” America and “defending” the free world leaves no room for any of Trump’s so-called antics. Biden’s mouthpiece, James Singer, relayed the snub with all the gravitas of a late-night infomercial.
In a desperate attempt to appear the grown-up in the room, Singer suggested a rather creative set of challenges for The Donald. Create jobs? Asserting Trump lost 3 million. Stand up to Putin? Claiming Trump bowed down. Follow the law? Accusing Trump of habitually breaking it. This high-minded rhetoric skips over the inconvenient truth that under Trump, the American economy hit record lows in unemployment and the country enjoyed a period of relative peace from foreign conflicts.

In the pinnacle of pot-kettle-ism, Singer lambasted Trump for not being seen in public for 12 days. He threw in a menacing image of Trump allegedly inviting “fictional serial killers” to supper, mocking Marco Rubio, praising conservative minds like Tom Homan, and yes, challenging Biden to a friendly round of golf. It appears Singer has forgotten Joe Biden’s frequent stumbles off the radar, sometimes leaving folks wondering if their president’s “hidden agenda” is simply hiding.
Trump, never one to shy away from the spotlight, issued the golf challenge at a rally with his typical showmanship. He proposed another face-off debate, a mano-a-mano showdown with no moderates to shield “Sleepy Joe” from the inevitable grill. Trump, clearly in his element, mocked Biden’s swing, and in classic Trump flair, offered a $1 million charity donation if Biden manages to outplay him.
Silence was the only response from Biden’s camp to the debate invite. So while Trump was ready for a battle of wits and skills, Biden’s team opted to play the ghosting game – a tactic all too familiar from the campaign trail.
This entire drama stems back to their first debate encounter in Georgia last month. Biden confidently boasted he’d outshine Trump on the green. Now, with Trump giving a clear-cut opportunity to test that bravado, Biden chooses to retreat behind a wall of sanctimony rather than step up to the tee.
Hunter Biden’s emails might be more transparent than Joe’s rationale for dodging a simple golf match. One thing’s clear: Biden’s avoidance isn’t fooling anyone who has been paying attention.
