In yet another display of the Biden administration’s lack of transparency, a White House reporter was forced to practically beg Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to urge Joe Biden to come out of hiding and hold a real press conference. The frustration among the press corps is palpable, as they are tired of being kept in the dark about the president’s actions and intentions.
But instead of addressing the concerns of the press, Jean-Pierre responded with a dismissive and condescending attitude. She thanked the reporter for the request and rambled on about how much Biden has supposedly accomplished in his first two and a half years. It’s clear that the Biden administration is more interested in protecting their own narrative than being accountable to the American people.

This refusal to engage with the press is not only a disservice to the American people, but it also undermines the principles of democracy. A free press is essential for holding politicians accountable and ensuring transparency in government. By avoiding tough questions and hiding behind closed doors, Biden is only reinforcing the perception that he has something to hide.
It’s not surprising that the Biden administration is avoiding substantive press conferences. After all, Biden’s cognitive decline has become increasingly apparent, and his gaffes and confusion are becoming more frequent. Holding a press conference would expose his lack of mental acuity and potentially unravel the carefully crafted image of a competent leader that the administration wants to maintain.
The lack of transparency from the Biden administration also extends to their policy decisions. From the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan to the inflation crisis and border security issues, the American people deserve answers. But instead of addressing these concerns, Biden and his team would rather avoid scrutiny and control the narrative as much as possible.
It’s clear that the Biden administration is more interested in political optics and protecting their own image than in being truly accountable to the American people. The Fourth Estate and the American people deserve better. It’s time for Joe Biden to step out from behind the closed door and face the tough questions, regardless of how uncomfortable they may be. The American people deserve transparency, accountability, and the truth.
