Florida Republican Party chairman Evan Power didn’t hold back when he publicly blasted President Joe Biden for declaring Easter Sunday as “Transgender Day of Visibility.” Power made it clear that he believed Biden’s decision was an attempt to force a radical agenda on the American people. The chairman was incensed that the Biden administration chose to designate Easter Sunday as “Transgender Day of Visibility,” especially on a day when Christian symbolism was reportedly not allowed in the White House Easter Egg contest.

In response to the announcement, Power demanded a retraction and an apology from President Biden, calling for all Florida Democrats, including Nikki Fried, to join him in that demand. He argued that Biden’s proclamation was a betrayal of the significance of Easter, which is a holy day in the Christian calendar celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, also expressed his shock and disgust, characterizing the move as a betrayal of the central tenets of Easter. He accused the Biden White House of banning religious symbols from Easter celebrations, while simultaneously proclaiming Easter Sunday as “Transgender Day.”
Donald Trump Jr. also took to social media to condemn the decision, asserting that the left’s new religion was centered around the transgender flag rather than traditional religious beliefs and practices, a sentiment echoed by other prominent figures such as Rep. Elise Stefanik.
Many conservatives and Republicans were quick to denounce the Biden administration’s actions, highlighting their belief that the announcement was an attack on Christianity and an insult to the faith. Some pointed out the purported contradiction between banning religious symbols from the White House Easter egg art contest and proclaiming Easter Sunday as “Transgender Day of Visibility.”
In sum, the conservative response was one of dismay and frustration, with prominent figures from the Republican Party and conservative commentators expressing outrage over what they perceived as an affront to Christian beliefs and traditions.
