Uh-oh, the leader of the free world has hit another brain freeze, like a computer from the 90s running a faulty program. President Joe Biden, in his latest hiccup, announced he was going to offer potential citizenship to hundreds of thousands of immigrants without legal status in the U.S., which, for the uninitiated, is just a long-winded way of saying “illegal aliens.” This genius plan, it seems, is to alleviate progressive panic attacks over his failure to address the border crisis.
In this latest display of teleprompter theater, Biden waxed lyrical, doing his best to channel the spirit of the Statue of Liberty. According to his script, Lady Liberty isn’t some tired old relic; she’s the living embodiment of American values. After hitting his stride and almost sounding convincing, he reminded everyone that America can embrace immigration and secure its border. Nice try, Joe, but does that mean securing the border requires creating a new pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens?

The Associated Press, ever the cheerleaders, zoomed in on the high points of Biden’s performance, painting his hiccups as minor glitches while conveniently glossing over the part where he struggled to remember the name of his Homeland Security Secretary. Moments like these, when Biden’s mental hardwire appears to short circuit, are becoming almost too frequent to overlook. Yet, they seem always to get swept under the progressive rug.
Over on social media, Biden fans scrambled to outspin the latest snippet of the president’s muddled oratory. The Washington Post even penned an entire article excusing his odd behavior, chalking it up to “selectively edited clips” designed to make him look cerebrally compromised. A user, wearing the badge of “Not MAGA,” posted an “unedited” version of Biden eventually recalling Secretary Mayorkas’ name after a prolonged stutter, as if that reframe suddenly made it all sunshine and rainbows.
Of course, this isn’t a one-off event. Biden’s history of verbal gaffes is longer than the U.S.-Mexico border wall, which he’s neglecting to finish. Whether it’s forgetting his Secretary of Defense’s name or calling the Pentagon the “thing,” Biden has made these mental misfires almost his signature style. One has to wonder, who’s piloting Air Force One?
As usual, liberals pivot to defense mode, rebranding Biden’s countless slip-ups as “cheap fakes” rather than “deep fakes.” It’s the classic move: redefine terms to downplay the issue. But from the cheap seats, it looks like Biden is still the same old senescent marionette stumbling through his lines, pinning the nation’s future on one misremembered name at a time. So, as Biden’s presidency continues like a bad sitcom on a loop, Americans are left to wonder: who’s really in charge here?
