The latest episode in the ongoing saga of the Biden administration has left many wondering just who exactly is steering the ship. While communities in the South grapple with the aftermath of a catastrophic hurricane—the second deadliest in U.S. history—President Biden seems blissfully out of touch. As the death toll from this natural disaster surpasses 200 and hundreds remain unaccounted for, Biden’s remarks about the “very happy” residents of the storm-ravaged areas have left people scratching their heads in disbelief.
After taking a brief stroll through the destruction, Biden appeared to be completely baffled by the concept of a “storm zone.” His response to a reporter’s question about what those in need required only added to the confusion. It seems that the leader of the free world couldn’t quite pinpoint which storm the reporter was referencing. Not that it would matter; his answer was disturbingly dismissive, showing a blatant disconnect from the realities the people in the affected areas are experiencing.

And if the president’s peculiar comments weren’t enough, there’s the matter of Vice President Kamala Harris’s so-called aid package for flood victims, which amounts to a laughable $750. Meanwhile, federal funds seem to have disappeared faster than a conservative journalist at a liberal arts college. It appears that while American citizens struggle, the administration has found a cozy way to fund its agenda, redirecting millions toward helping illegal immigrants instead of aiding disaster victims.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency, in what can only be described as a farcical twist to the narrative, recently disclosed that they barely have enough resources to navigate the current hurricane season. This dire situation has arisen after significant funds were redirected to support those who, despite having crossed the border illegally, seem to have found their way to the front of the line for government assistance. The monumental task of helping American citizens—those who have lived in these storm zones—has taken a backseat to other priorities.
As the Biden administration continues to spin tales of satisfaction and recovery, one wonders how many more absurdities must unfold before the electorate realizes that the person in charge may not even be aware of who is suffering. With priorities clearly skewed and leadership lost at sea, it’s no wonder that many Americans are left pondering: Do we even have a president? The answer, judging by the reckless mismanagement of this storm crisis, seems more uncertain than ever.
