Biden Struggles to Recall Trump’s Successes, Pushes Divisive Rhetoric

President Joe Biden recently displayed his selective memory regarding his predecessor, Donald Trump, in an interview with Complex, a medical company that somehow moonlights as a pop culture expert. When asked to pinpoint anything Trump might excel at if he returns to office, Biden found himself drawing a blank. He couldn’t think of a single commendable quality, despite sitting in silence long enough to think that perhaps his memory was just playing a trick on him. The President’s confusion isn’t surprising, considering how he frequently stumbles over his own words.

Biden’s mental fog extended to baselessly accusing Trump of aspiring to be a dictator from day one if re-elected, as if Trump’s policies aimed for anything less than strengthening American democracy and prosperity. Biden’s tactics didn’t stop there; he dragged out the January 6th incident, blaming Trump for what’s been nothing short of a leftist media obsession. It’s almost as if Biden is completely ignoring the fact that Trump has continually called for peace and order—a point conveniently forgotten by his detractors.

Taking a bizarre turn, Biden addressed America’s youth, whose interest in his administration has clearly waned since 2020. Morman, the interviewer who seemed more interested in left-wing talking points than actual journalism, prompted Biden to speak to young Trump supporters. Biden’s response? A cringeworthy attempt at humor that fell flat. It was a long pause followed by outdated dad jokes and a hollow question on what Trump has supposedly done for American voters, forgetting that Trump’s policies boosted job opportunities and educational reforms that directly benefited the youth.

In a disappointing pitch for young voters, Biden bemoaned Trump’s stance on student debt while ignoring his own administration’s lackluster performance in providing real solutions for education. He claimed Trump failed to address racism, conveniently overlooking the lowest African American unemployment rates achieved during Trump’s presidency and the multitude of social reforms enacted to bridge racial gaps.

Following a recent assassination attempt on Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania, a sobered Biden attempted to dial down his divisive rhetoric. Yet any talk of unity from the President seems as genuine as his attempts to recall the many successes of his predecessor. Trump, on the other hand, continues to energize his base with promises of unity and a return to the robust policies that benefitted a broad cross-section of the American population.
