As Hawaii struggles to recover from the worst wildfire in American history, with nearly 100 lives lost and over 1,000 people still missing, guess where President Joe Biden was? That’s right, folks, he was on vacation in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Can you believe it? While the people of Hawaii are suffering, the president is probably sipping cocktails on the beach. Talk about priorities!
Instead of rushing to the aid of those affected by the devastating fire, Biden stubbornly refused to comment on the situation. Is it because he lacks empathy? Or maybe he was just too tired from his vacation to bother with the plight of American citizens. This administration has shown time and time again that they can’t handle natural disasters. It’s almost comical, if it weren’t so tragic.
Let’s not forget the train derailment in Ohio earlier this year. Not only did Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg take days to respond, but Biden himself didn’t even bother to visit the affected residents. And of course, politics played a role in their lackluster response. The site of the derailment was in a deep red Trump Country. It seems like the administration only cares about blue states.

And if you thought Biden’s decision to skip Ohio was bad enough, now we hear that he hopped on a plane to visit Hawaii after the brushfire. I guess he only cares about disasters in liberal states. But even that doesn’t excuse his negligence towards Ohio. This is all his fault, plain and simple. Their excuse that they don’t want to be a “distraction” is laughable. The real distraction is a president who puts his vacation above the needs of the American people.
Remember when Joe Biden was hailed as “Mr. Empathy” during the 2020 election? Well, he certainly shattered that image in just one weekend. It’s no surprise that he’s too gassed to do his job. We saw what three days of work did to him after the NATO Summit. It left him completely ruined. It’s a shame that our country is being led by someone who can’t even handle a few days of work without falling apart.
It’s clear that Joe Biden’s priorities are completely out of whack. While our country faces tragedy and devastation, he’s off lounging on the beach. We deserve a leader who will put the needs of the American people first. Unfortunately, we’re stuck with a president who only cares about himself and his own comfort. It’s time for a change.
