According to a holiday spending report by Empower, a majority of Americans are feeling the effects of Bidenomics on their wallets this holiday season. The report, based on a survey of 1,003 Americans from different generations, revealed that 74 percent of respondents believe that Bidenflation is causing significant problems for them this year. In fact, 31 percent said they have been forced to work overtime just to make ends meet and afford their holiday purchases. It seems like Santa may have to bring some extra cash this year!
The survey also showed that Americans are making major adjustments to their holiday spending habits. About 46 percent of respondents said they were skipping travel and reallocating that money for their holiday shopping. Additionally, three out of ten people are cutting back on their holiday traditions in order to save money. It seems like the Grinch is having an influence on holiday plans this year!
Biden either has no idea or doesn't care.

Empower spokesman, Courtney Burrell, highlighted some of the ways people are adjusting their budgets. She mentioned that 34 percent of respondents are trimming their budgets to prioritize saving, while others are cutting back on buying gifts or non-essential expenses like dining out. Looks like instead of mistletoe, people will be hanging up coupons this year!
The survey also revealed that many Americans are planning to spend less on gifts this holiday season. Thirty-seven percent said they would spend no more than $250, while only ten percent were budgeting $1,000 for gift-giving. Looks like Santa may be bringing smaller presents down the chimney this year!
Furthermore, the survey found that Americans are cutting back on travel expenses. Less than half of Americans (49 percent) intend to travel for the holidays, and 46 percent said they are cutting out travel altogether to save money. Thirty-two percent said flight prices were too high, and 24 percent blamed the high gas prices. Looks like Santa’s sleigh may only have a limited number of stops this year!
In addition to holiday spending concerns, other reports have shown that the price of Christmas trees has also soared this year. The National Christmas Tree Association and the American Christmas Tree Association reported that prices were up ten percent compared to last year. Looks like it’s not just Rudolph’s nose that’s red this holiday season!
And let’s not forget about Thanksgiving! The American Farm Bureau Federation reported that Thanksgiving dinner prices were more than 25 percent higher this year compared to 2019. It seems like Thanksgiving turkeys aren’t the only things getting stuffed!
Overall, it seems that Americans are feeling the pinch of Bidenomics this holiday season. Inflation has been on the rise, and household income has been affected. With high costs and a need to tighten budgets, it’s no wonder Americans are making major changes to their holiday plans. Looks like Scrooge may have to take a backseat to Bidenomics this year!
