President Joe Biden has once again prioritized his beloved government workers over hardworking Americans by giving federal employees their biggest pay raise in over 40 years. This move comes at a time when many Americans are struggling to make ends meet as wages fail to keep up with the inflation caused by Biden’s disastrous economic policies, also known as “Bidenflation.”

Biden took it upon himself to issue an executive order on December 21, declaring a whopping 4.7 percent across-the-board pay raise for over two million government workers. And if that wasn’t enough, he’s also planning to give the military a 5.2 percent pay raise. It’s as if Biden is trying to buy the loyalty of federal workers with taxpayer money while the rest of us are left to suffer the consequences of his failed leadership.
To add insult to injury, up to 33,300 federal employees will see an even larger pay raise because the Biden administration decided to adjust the locality pay area map based on the same high inflation rates that Biden caused. It’s like setting fire to a building and then patting yourself on the back for putting it out.
And who’s responsible for these decisions, you ask? None other than Biden’s pay agent board, made up of individuals like Office of Personnel Management Director Kiran Ahuja, Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young, and acting Labor Secretary Julie Su. These are the people calling the shots, and it’s clear whose side they’re on.
The cherry on top is that this massive pay raise goes into effect at the start of 2024, making it the largest pay raise for federal workers since the 1970s. While hardworking Americans struggle to find stable employment and face financial insecurity, the federal workforce continues to grow at an alarming rate. Just between December 2022 and August 2023, a mind-boggling 81,000 new government jobs were created.
With a federal workforce exceeding the populations of 15 individual states, it’s no surprise that federal employees overwhelmingly donate to Democrats. In 2020, federal employees donated over $27 million to Democrats, compared to a mere $9 million to Republicans. Their political allegiance is crystal clear, and it’s outrageous that their generous pay raises are coming at the expense of struggling Americans.
As if the pay raise for government workers wasn’t tone-deaf enough, the Biden administration’s policies have led to a record high in homelessness, with the biggest increase among families. The burden of Bidenomics has forced millions of Americans, including seniors who thought they could retire, back into the workforce just to make ends meet. The pandemic, combined with Democrats’ disastrous lockdowns, has also left the bottom 80 percent of Americans significantly poorer.
