President Joe Biden spoke to a crowd of union workers at the Annual Tri-State Labor Day Parade in Philadelphia on Labor Day. During his speech, Biden took the chance to criticize Trump's economic plans and promote his own, which he called "Bidenomics." Biden says that his government is to thank for adding 800,000 new manufacturing jobs, which is a record number. But let's be honest, people. The things Biden says are just political spin. We all know that President Trump is really to thank for the strong economy. African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, and women all had record-low unemployment rates when Trump was in charge. Biden is just trying to take the credit for himself.

Fact checkers had to step in and point out the mistakes in what Biden said. The fact checker for USA Today called out Biden for making unfair comparisons between himself and Trump. He said that comparing net jobs over a four-year time to a single one-month change in employment is misleading. They also said that experts say a more meaningful study would take into account the unique circumstances of Trump's time in office, such as the job growth before the pandemic and the recovery compared to other countries. But, hey, who needs facts when you're a Democrat trying to push your own story?
And let's not forget that job growth during the Covid pandemic was different in each state. The Carsey School of Public Policy at the University of New Hampshire found that states with stricter gun laws started out behind states with a less strict policy. It's clear that Biden's tough stance on Covid limits hurt the economy more than it helped. But instead of admitting that he made a mistake, he is trying to make it sound like he did well.
And what about Biden's claim that he is taking jobs from China back to the United States? Well, there's a big exception to that. The business blog ZeroHedge says that U.S. workers who were born outside of the country have been taking jobs from people who were born in the U.S. So much for getting jobs back to the United States. In reality, Biden's economic strategies hurt American workers and help people outside of the U.S.
But perhaps the most worrying thing about Biden's job numbers is that the Bureau of Labor Statistics keeps lowering them. Every month, the BLS has been changing the numbers they first reported, often by tens of thousands of jobs. It almost seems like they are trying to hide the truth about how the business is doing. But us Republicans know they are lying.
So, Biden may talk up his own economic record, but the numbers say something different. President Trump, not Sleepy Joe, is to thank for the strong economy. Biden's plans for the economy are a disaster waiting to happen. Lower taxes, bigger paychecks, and more jobs for American workers, not Biden's wasteful spending, are the keys to a strong economy. It's time for Republicans to stand up and show how Biden's lies are based on the truth.
