Illegal border crossings have increased throughout the southern border, dealing a setback to President Joe Biden's purported migrant "plans." despite the Administration’s insistence that everything is under control. A recent report from U.S. Customs and Border Protection reveals that July saw a whopping 33 percent spike in illegal crossings. Just last month, agents apprehended a staggering 136,652 aliens, marking a dramatic jump from the first time apprehensions went below 100,000 during Biden’s presidency.
One of the main culprits responsible for this surge is because of the Biden Administration's approved programmes, including one that permits asylum applicants to book appointments at U.S. ports of entry through the CBP One mobile application. This has led to an additional 50,000 illegal migrants crossing into the country in July alone. It’s like they’re rolling out the red carpet for anyone and everyone who wants to enter illegally!
Grim statistics reveal that border agents apprehended 60,161 adults attempting to cross the border in July, a whopping 40 percent increase compared to the previous year. And let’s not forget about the 10,000 unaccompanied minors who were also captured by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents that same month. It’s an absolute humanitarian crisis unfolding right before our eyes, and the Biden Administration seems unconcerned.
According to CBP data, most of these illegal migrant crossings are concentrated in the blistering deserts of southern Arizona. It’s shocking to think that individuals are willingly risking their lives in temperatures exceeding 110 degrees just to gain entry into our country. But hey, who needs common sense when you can exploit loopholes and take advantage of a weak border?
Even with all the alarming evidence, it appears that the border crisis shows no signs of slowing down. More than 83,000 immigrants seeking to enter the United States illegally were detained by Border Patrol authorities during the first 15 days of August. And according to reports from Breitbart Texas, 50,000 of them entered through the five Texas-based border sectors. It’s an invasion, plain and simple.
It’s worth noting that while the El Paso and Tucson Sectors are the only southwest border sectors with a year-over-year increase in apprehensions (59 and 29 percent, respectively), the Biden Administration and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas continue to deny the severity of the situation. They shamelessly claim that crossings are down and that their approach is working. But let’s be real here, folks. The evidence speaks for itself. The border crisis is raging on, and the Biden Administration’s ineptitude is exacerbating the problem. It’s time for them to take responsibility and actually secure our borders. The safety and security of our nation depend on it.
