This groundbreaking hearing, titled “Children are Not for Sale: Examining the Threat of Exploitation of Children in the U.S. and Abroad,” is bound to shake things up. The committee has gathered a group of fearless witnesses who are ready to expose the ugly truth lurking in the shadows. We’ve got the CEO of Raven, and former Commander of the NJ Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, John Pizzuro, who knows a thing or two about fighting these sick criminals. Alongside him, we have Anne Basham, the Founder and Chair of the Inter-parliamentary Taskforce on Human Trafficking, who is ready to take the fight to the global stage.
But that’s not all, folks! We’ve got a real-life survivor and advocate, Vanessa Bautista, who has lived through the nightmare of child exploitation and come out on the other side stronger than ever. And let’s not forget about John Tanagho, the Executive Director of the Center to End Online Sexual Exploitation of Children and International Justice Mission, who is here to shed light on the digital age of this sickening trade.

Now, the Department of Homeland Security has dropped a bombshell statistic – human trafficking is a whopping $150 billion a year industry worldwide. And who’s to blame for this despicable operation flourishing? You guessed it, President Joe Biden and his reckless open border policies. It’s no secret that these cartels are taking advantage of the chaos at our southern border to smuggle innocent children and force them into a life of unimaginable pain and suffering.
On a brighter note, though, there is a silver lining amidst this darkness. The powerful film “Sound of Freedom” has managed to capture the attention of the world. Eduardo Verástegui, the film’s star, has even gone a step further by throwing his hat into the political ring. That’s right, folks, he’s filed to run for president of Mexico! Just a testament to the incredible impact this film is having across Latin America and beyond.
It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of storytelling and shining a light on the truth. We need more people like Verástegui and the dedicated witnesses at this hearing to continue fighting for the innocent lives who deserve better.
