In a desperate attempt to salvage his sinking ship of a presidency, Joe Biden is set to sit down for a primetime NBC interview with Lester Holt. This move comes on the heels of a disastrous performance at the CNN debate and a cringeworthy interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. Despite calls for him to step down coming from various corners, Biden is stubbornly clinging on.
It seems like Biden is taking a page out of Charlton Heston’s book, declaring he won’t give up his position without a fight akin to “from my cold, dead hands.” However, the real question is whether this last-minute effort will actually make a difference for the struggling president.
Following the rocky ABC interview, where even staunch Democrat Stephanopoulos conceded Biden’s shortcomings, it’s a wonder why Biden is continuing down this path. The declining viewership numbers from his previous appearances indicate that his message is not resonating well with the public.
Even with an upcoming press conference scheduled, something Biden has been avoiding like the plague, the signs of his political demise are becoming increasingly evident. Hollywood elites and prominent Democrats are turning their backs on him, painting a bleak picture for his future.

With Holt set to interview Biden, one can’t help but wonder if the mainstream media will continue to shield the president or start asking the tough questions they’ve ignored thus far. It appears that Biden’s only hope during this primetime event is to avoid any major blunders, as a miraculous turnaround seems highly unlikely at this stage.
As the public watches on, it’s clear that Biden’s attempts to regain control of his presidency may be too little, too late. The writing on the wall is becoming harder to ignore, and it remains to be seen if this NBC interview will be the lifeline Biden desperately needs.
