In 2020, Donald Trump and his administration did everything they could to protect the lives of unborn babies. Unfortunately, their efforts were not enough to satisfy the liberal agenda. Recently, a jury found pro-life activist Lauren Handy and her associates guilty of violating federal law by obstructing access to an abortion clinic. It’s truly outrageous that they are being punished for preventing what amounts to nothing short of premeditated murder.

It’s important to note that the incident in question occurred back in 2020, but charges were not brought against Handy and her friends until 2022. The wheels of justice sure move slowly under the Biden regime. Despite the delay, their trial finally began on August 16th. After just two days of deliberation, the jury handed down a guilty verdict on all counts. It’s clear that the pro-life movement is being unjustly targeted by Biden’s Department of Justice.
Senior counsel Martin Cannon expressed his disappointment with the outcome, and rightfully so. Lauren Handy should never have been arrested for her courageous efforts to protect innocent unborn lives. The Thomas More Society, a defender of pro-life values, plans to appeal the decision and continue to fight for those who stand against the horrific practice of abortion. It’s disheartening to see the Biden administration prosecuting those who speak out against the intentional killing of children in utero.
Handy and her friends now face a potential maximum sentence of 11 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a hefty fine. It’s absurd that those who are advocating for life are being treated harsher than those who are involved in the actual act of ending innocent lives. Where is the justice in that? It’s clear that the liberal establishment will stop at nothing to protect and promote abortion, even if it means silencing those who dare to oppose their agenda.
This case highlights the disturbing reality of Joe Biden’s America. Under his leadership, the rights of the unborn are being trampled upon while criminals who support the abortion industry are given a free pass. It’s a stark contrast from the days of the Trump administration, where the protection of life was a top priority. We need to return to those values and stand up for the most vulnerable members of society. The fight for the rights of the unborn is far from over, and it’s time for conservatives to rally against this injustice and ensure that unborn babies have a voice.
