President Joe Biden recently reached out to the families of the Americans who are missing following Hamas’ attack on Israel. It’s commendable that he took the time to speak with these families, but let’s not forget the bigger picture here. Hamas’s terrorist actions have resulted in the death of at least 25 Americans and the kidnap of over 150 hostages, some of whom are American citizens. This is a grave situation that demands immediate action to ensure the safety of these individuals.
While Biden did express his support for Israel during his speech in Philadelphia, there was one statement that raised eyebrows. He mentioned that the majority of Palestinians had nothing to do with Hamas and that they are also suffering. Now, it’s important to recognize that innocent Palestinians are undoubtedly caught in the crossfire, but we cannot overlook the fact that they have not done enough to oppose the terrorist organization. Israel’s President Isaac Herzog made this point clear when he emphasized that the Palestinians had the opportunity to rise up against Hamas but failed to do so.
Biden’s remark seems to contradict the strong pro-Israel stance he has been demonstrating. It’s concerning because it implies placing blame solely on Israel’s side without acknowledging the role played by Palestinians in perpetuating the conflict. This perspective is not only biased but also fails to hold Palestinians accountable for their actions or lack thereof.
As conservatives, we support Israel’s right to defend itself against terrorist attacks and protect its citizens. It is frustrating to see a President who claims to have a firm stance on supporting Israel make statements that cast doubt on his commitment. We need clear and unwavering support for our allies in the Middle East, especially during times of crisis.

Furthermore, while Biden assured the families of the missing Americans of his commitment to bringing their loved ones home, it remains unclear what concrete steps the U.S. government is taking to achieve this goal. We need decisive action and a strong strategy to ensure the safe return of our fellow Americans. Families deserve more than empty promises; they need results.
In conclusion, while Biden’s outreach to the families of the missing Americans is admirable, his remarks undermine the strong pro-Israel stance he claims to uphold. It is crucial for the President to recognize the role Palestinians have played in enabling Hamas and to take decisive action to protect American lives.
