Well, well, well, hold your horses folks, because it’s time to separate fact from fiction! A recent Facebook post has been making the rounds, claiming that our beloved British landmark, Big Ben, was set on fire during a protest. But fear not, fellow patriots, because this claim is as false as a politician’s promise.
Now, this post apparently featured an image that showed Big Ben engulfed in flames. But let me tell you, that image was actually taken from a now-deleted TikTok video. Yup, some prankster thought it would be funny to create a fake fire at Big Ben and then spread it like wildfire on social media. Talk about having a twisted sense of humor.

But here’s the thing, my conservative comrades, there is absolutely no evidence to back up this claim. No credible news reports, no official statements from the London Metropolitan Police Department, nada! In fact, Reuters, a bona fide news outlet, has already labeled this claim as false. And if Reuters says it’s false, then you can bet your bottom dollar it’s a bunch of baloney.
Now, let’s not forget the bigger picture here, folks. The U.K. is apparently considering recognizing Palestine as a state. Can you believe it? I mean, that’s like inviting the fox into the henhouse. We all know how well that turned out for the hens. But hey, according to Lord David Cameron, it’s just a “difficult but not impossible” task. Well, call me skeptical, but I don’t think that’s a risk we should be taking.
In conclusion, my fellow conservatives, don’t believe everything you see on social media. Just like that viral video of a cat playing the piano, some things are just too good to be true. Big Ben is standing tall and proud, untouched by any fiery protests. So, let’s keep our eyes open, question everything, and most importantly, stay skeptical.
