The actor and comedian, known more for his outrageous antics than for any semblance of political insight, has decided to whip out his social media megaphone and issue a full-blown panic attack over Donald Trump’s resurgence. In a hyperventilating TikTok video, Eichner proclaimed that it was a critical juncture for Democrats, urging his followers to abandon all reason and instead, embrace chaos.
Eichner’s three-minute rant was filled to the brim with expletives directed at Trump, but surprisingly absent was any coherent explanation for why anyone should consider voting for Kamala Harris. It’s baffling how in a video primarily focused on Trump, the vice president barely garners a mention. One would think that a video aimed at rallying support would at least nod toward some policies or inspirational platitudes, but alas, that would require a grasp of something other than just outrage.
In his anxious video message, Eichner claimed that the polling numbers are not in favor of his beloved party, showing that the world for some might not be all sunshine and daisies as they hoped. He even ventured out to mingle with voters and declared the atmosphere uncomfortably “off,” though it’s hard not to wonder how many of those voters were fed up with the Democrats after years of mismanagement. Eichner’s assertion that the vibe was not to his liking seems more like a personal problem than a political one.

The self-proclaimed comedian continued to rant about Trump, labeling him “very, very dangerous” but conveniently forgot to articulate what that means in practical terms. Instead, Eichner focused on how it all seemed “not cool” in his eyes, completely disregarding the fact that many Americans find Trump’s approach somewhat refreshing compared to the usual political drudgery. His inability to detail any tangible concerns with the former president’s policies only underscores the hollowness of his argument.
Eichner isn’t the only star feeling the heat as the election looms. Jimmy Kimmel has also expressed his existential dread regarding the possibility of a second Trump term, claiming that the specter of Trump has even invaded his dreams. It’s amusing to note that while ordinary Americans are trying to navigate everyday life, the likes of Eichner and Kimmel are grappling with nightmares that stem from a man who has long since left the Oval Office. Despite the unraveling, the left seems more committed to its hyperbole than engaging in substantive discourse — a tactic that reveals much more about their fears than it does about their platform.
