Police in Virginia are looking for a very strange thief who goes by the name "Bird Bandit." This person is suspected of robbing a man with a knife while three parrots were sitting on his shoulders. It's not a crime you see every day, that's for sure.

The victim was near a McDonald's when the Bird Bandit came up to him with a knife and threatened to hurt him. He then took an unknown amount of money and ran away. Can you picture being robbed by someone who has birds on their shoulders? It just seems strange and silly.

The suspect is said to be a Hispanic guy between the ages of 28 and 32 who has a lot of tattoos. He was last seen wearing a black cowboy hat with two parrots on it, a striped shirt, and another parrot on his shoulder. What a bold fashion choice!
The Bird Bandit and his feathered helpers can be seen on surveillance video from a local business. They are walking around a convenience shop. They are looking into whether or not the suspect has been involved in other robberies and whether or not the birds have been used in other crimes. It's almost like a cartoon come to life!
The suspect got away in a blue Ford SUV. The last time anyone saw him was in the Seven Corners neighbourhood of Falls Church, Virginia. Let's hope the cops find this bird-loving criminal soon and bring him to justice. It's bad enough to steal from someone, but to do it while carrying parrots on your shoulders? That is just crazy.
