In an unexpected twist, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson expressed his enthusiasm for the idea of co-hosting a Republican presidential primary debate. And who does he want as his co-hosts? None other than X CEO Elon Musk and podcaster Joe Rogan. When asked about the proposal by producer Alex Lorusso, Carlson didn’t hold back his excitement, exclaiming, “Yeah! That sounds fun as hell.”
I asked @TuckerCarlson if he’d be willing to host a GOP debate with Joe Rogan and Elon Musk.
TUCKER: “Of course I would — that sounds fun as Hell. Absolutely, I think it would have to be outside of the RNC.. The RNC is like NATO, it has no reason for being, it only consumes… pic.twitter.com/VvEPr8ej7E

But Carlson didn’t stop there. He also took the opportunity to take a dig at the Republican National Committee (RNC), comparing it to NATO and stating that it has no reason to exist. According to him, the RNC only consumes resources, says annoying things, and breaks things.
The RNC recently announced that it would not be hosting any more debates during the 2024 primary season, but it had no objections to candidates participating in debates organized by other organizations. However, CNN wasted no time in announcing a debate of their own on January 10, just a few days before the Iowa caucuses on January 15. Unfortunately, the strict qualification criteria mean that only three candidates would qualify for the debate: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and former President Donald Trump.
It remains to be seen whether Trump, who boycotted earlier debates, will attend this one or any others. So far, DeSantis is the only candidate who has committed to participating. Haley has not yet made a decision, and she has been called upon by both DeSantis and Carlson to join the debate. The drama continues to unfold as the primary season heats up. Stay tuned.
