China Blames US for Decades of ‘Turmoil’ After 9/11: Who’s Really Guilty?

The Communist Party-controlled media outlet, Global Times, once again took a jab at the United States on the 22nd anniversary of the tragic 9/11 attacks. In a cartoon posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, Global Times mocked America for supposedly “exporting turmoil for 22 years after 9/11.” The cartoon depicts the US as a country engulfed in chaos and unrest.

This isn’t the first time Global Times has tried to belittle America. In 2021, they called the US the “laughingstock of democracy,” highlighting the country’s internal problems and divisions. And just last year, they described the presidential rematch between Joe Biden and Donald Trump as proof of America’s decline.

But let’s not be fooled by these cheap shots from a state-sponsored propaganda machine. The United States remains the beacon of freedom and democracy in the world. President Donald Trump himself paid tribute to the thousands of victims who lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks and praised the heroic first responders who risked their lives to save others.

It’s ironic that Global Times, a mouthpiece for an authoritarian regime, would dare to lecture the US on democracy. China, with its oppressive regime, lack of human rights, and rampant censorship, has no right to criticize the land of the free. The Chinese Communist Party fears the power and influence of the United States, which is why they resort to these petty attacks.

While America is not perfect, it is a country that constantly strives for progress and improvement. It is a place where freedom, individual rights, and the rule of law are cherished. So let Global Times continue with their cartoons and their insults. It only reveals their own insecurities and shortcomings. America will stand strong, despite their feeble attempts to undermine it.
