Weathered Waves, a cider bar in Salt Lake City, made a jaw-dropping announcement on Instagram, declaring a ban on Zionists “forever.” What in tarnation is going on here?! This Michael Valentine fella, who’s the big cheese of the Six Sailor Cider group that runs this joint, seems to have stirred up quite a ruckus with this move. How dare they wave their anti-Zionist flag so boldly, especially in a place as welcoming and diverse as Salt Lake City?
Now, old Valentine, who had his sights set on being the mayor of Salt Lake City, must have been sippin’ some sour cider when he thought this ban was a good idea. Banning folks just because of their beliefs? That ain’t right, no siree! It’s downright un-American to discriminate against folks based on their political views or cultural beliefs. This Valentine fella’s got some explaining to do!
AG to check discrimination laws.
Do they plan on asking questions at the door to determine who is a Zionist?

And can you believe they’re calling Zionism hate speech and equating it with white supremacy? Hogwash! Zionism is all about supporting the Jewish homeland, Israel. It’s about standing up for the rights and safety of the Jewish people. To twist it into something sinister is just plain balderdash! These folks over at Weathered Waves need to brush up on their history and world affairs before making such outlandish statements.
The audacity of suggesting a ban on Zionists, likening them to neo-Nazis and white supremacists! Good gravy, that’s a stretch! This Valentine character ought to be checking the cider barrels for more than just apples ’cause he’s clearly lost his marbles. It’s one thing to have an opinion, but it’s a whole ‘nother kettle of fish to spew such hateful rhetoric and try to pass it off as some noble stance for humanity. Give me a break!
It’s heartening to see that the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services ain’t turnin’ a blind eye to this tomfoolery. By golly, they’re right to investigate if any discrimination laws are being trampled on. We can’t have businesses run amok, spreading divisiveness and discrimination in our communities. Let’s hope they set this cider bar straight and show ’em that in America, we welcome folks from all walks of life, regardless of their beliefs.
