The news out of Russia is alarming, but not surprising to those paying attention to Putin’s disastrous leadership. The Wagner Group, a paramilitary organization that was once fighting alongside Putin’s troops in Ukraine, has turned against Putin’s military leaders and entered Russia with a mission to oust them. This is a historic moment in Russian history – the civil war has officially begun. It’s time for Putin’s regime to face the consequences of their corrupt and brutal leadership.

While Putin attempted to calm the situation with a state address, his attempts fell on deaf ears. The Wagner Group’s leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has been increasingly critical of Russia’s military leaders and called for a march for justice against the evil in Russia’s military. This call to action has resulted in Putin’s government securing Moscow and issuing an arrest warrant for Prigozhin. The situation has only escalated with Wagner fighters seizing military facilities in the city of Voronezh and entering the southern Russian city of Rostov with no resistance from young conscripts.

It’s time for the Russian people to fight back against Putin’s regime and remove the corrupt and oppressive leadership. This civil war marks a turning point in Russian history, and we can only hope that it results in a more democratic and free country. Putin’s allies will try to downplay the severity of the situation, but the videos uploaded online show that the country is in chaos and that a civil war has officially begun.
