Axios, often seen as left-leaning, is all in a tizzy about a study supposedly blaming climate change for folks fleeing Democrat-controlled cities such as Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and Washington, D.C. They're stirring up a pot of speculation to push their eco-friendly agenda.
Evidently, Climate Change only affects Marxist-run Cities: https://t.co/ZwtiymHjxI via @BreitbartNews

According to Axios, there's this trend they call "climate migration" happening within the U.S., where people are supposedly escaping flood-prone areas and creating what they dub as "climate abandonment" zones. But here's the kicker—the study contradicts itself by admitting that people are leaving the Rust Belt en masse and relocating to regions facing even greater climate risks down South.
The study even acknowledges that cities like Miami and Houston, despite facing significant flood risks, are actually drawing in more people than they're losing. These places are growing, albeit slower due to the perceived threat of flooding.
The study conveniently omits the fact that coastal real estate, supposedly most vulnerable to climate change, is increasing in value rather than plummeting. Remember when former President Obama bought a house near the ocean? And the climate alarmists at CNN moved their HQ from inland Atlanta to waterside Manhattan? Yes, that very same Manhattan they predicted would be underwater by now.
The study fails to ask the actual movers why they moved. Moreover, it conveniently overlooks local politics, social dynamics, and economic factors, attributing everything to complex equations and projections.
According to one perspective, that the exodus from Democrat-led cities has more to do with their policies than some mythical climate scare. Nope, it's the controversial policies of the Democratic Party that are supposedly sending people packing towards more conservative areas. And if the left can twist this into a climate change issue, it could further their socialist agenda.
