James Comey, the disgraced former FBI Director, has been reported expressing his sheer terror over the possibility of a Republican winning in 2024. During a friendly interview with Jen Psaki on MSNBC, Comey bluntly stated that the only person who can be trusted to uphold the law and constitution is Joe Biden. Even though Biden has been slapped down by the US Supreme Court numerous times for trying to push illegal executive orders, Comey still believes that Biden is a great respecter of the law and constitution. That’s nonsense, and even Comey knows it. Unfortunately, due to his compromised status, he is forced to throw himself fully behind the Democrats, rather than taking a principled stand.

Comey further went on to admit that he is afraid of a “retribution presidency” if Donald Trump or any number of the current Republican candidates won the White House in 2024. However, Comey’s fear is misplaced, the solution to avoiding a “retribution presidency” is, simply put, not to be corrupt and weaponize the government for political reasons that ultimately influence the outcome of major elections. Comey wants to play by two different sets of rules and that’s not how things work. If any of the Republican candidates take the White House in 2024, they must investigate and prosecute those who had abused their power, and Comey knows this.

It’s time to be honest with ourselves. Comey is not afraid of a Republican winning in 2024; rather, he is afraid of being held accountable for his corrupt actions in Obama’s administration. Biden may have been lenient towards him, but a Republican president like Trump would undoubtedly hold him accountable. To save himself and his cohorts from investigations, Comey is compelled to throw in fully with the Democrats. Let’s ensure that we do not award another term to dishonest politicians like the current President.
