Congress Confirms Trump 2024 Win Leftist Protests Fizzle Out

Congress has officially certified the 2024 presidential election, confirming Donald Trump’s win over Vice President Kamala Harris. It seems that all the anxious leftists waiting for a last-minute legislative miracle can finally put away their protest signs and realize that the big guy is back in the driver’s seat. With no lawmakers daring to challenge the vote counts on the House floor, it’s all systems go for Trump’s coronation on January 20.

In the lead-up to this monumental moment, there were whispers about potential violence in Washington, D.C. This was apparently fueled by the announcement of protests from leftist groups, who appear to be perpetually prepared for a meltdown. It’s a classic playbook—when the election results don’t fit the narrative, just call for demonstrations and whip up the fear factor. They’ve clearly got their marching orders, even if they don’t have a winning candidate.

Some on the left had the bright idea to claim that Trump was disqualified from holding office due to an obscure 14th Amendment provision. This little gem was trotted out before, but just like old fruitcake at Christmas, it didn’t get much of a reception. Those efforts to sideline Trump during the campaign went nowhere, and now it seems they’re back at it again, trying to claim the moral high ground while organizing protests reminiscent of a middle school pep rally gone awry.

The wisdom on the protesters’ minds? They’ve branded Trump an “Insurrectionist” over January 6, 2021, as if echoing this term will magically make it true. One could argue that their relentless focus on this day has turned into something more pitiful than relevant. While they rallied at the Lincoln Memorial, the irony thickens. If anyone needs a refresher on what an “insurrection” looks like, they might want to take a trip to the nearest Antifa meeting—assuming they can get there without tripping over their own contradictions.

Peppered in amidst these echoes of protest is the silver lining that no violence erupted in response to the certification. In stark contrast to the sentiments of left-leaning lawmakers, who seem to treat the January 6 events as their personal goldmine for political rhetoric, the actual event seemed almost quaint in the dramatization. Even Vice President Harris took a stab at gravitas, emphasizing the peaceful transfer of power—a principle she clearly didn’t have the same spirit for while stumping for this administration’s disarray and chaos during previous transitions.

Instead of accepting the results like every other normal election cycle, left-wing politicians, like their old buddy Jerry Nadler, dredged up the January 6 narrative to smear Trump. Outlandish claims about riots and insurrections echoed across social media, conjuring images that would make for better movie scripts than political discourse. Meanwhile, Trump is expected to pardon many of those implicated in the aftermath of that day, which may very well include citizens penalized for merely showing up and expressing their beliefs.

It’s almost quaint, really. Democrats are so determined to paint this as an ongoing disaster that they’re ignoring the very electorate that spoke loud and clear. While the rhetoric flows like a broken faucet, the reality remains that Trump is gearing up to take office once again, with a mandate likely supported by millions of American voters who weren’t fooled by the grandstanding of the left. Hang on for the ride—it’s sure to be as entertaining as it is contentious.
