Rep. Cori Bush, a member of the “squad” from Missouri known for stoking racial tensions, has reintroduced a bill to allocate taxpayer funds for what she refers to as the “victims” of “police violence.” Bush, who gained attention from her involvement in protests following the 2014 police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, is facing a significant backlash for her proposed legislation.

In a video posted recently, Bush commemorated what would have been Michael Brown’s 28th birthday, emphasizing that his life was taken by a Ferguson police officer. She announced the reintroduction of the Helping Families Heal Act, also known as the Mike Brown Bill, alongside Brown’s mother, Lezley McSpadden, aiming to provide $100 million for mental health counseling for those affected by what she describes as “police violence.”
