In a recent interview with Sean Hannity, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) had some harsh words for White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. According to Cruz, Jean-Pierre is not only a liar, but a terrible one at that. He even compared her to someone playing poker with an obvious “tell” that gives away their bluff.
Cruz went on to explain what he believes Jean-Pierre’s “tell” is. He said that whenever she starts a statement by saying, “I’m going to tell you the exact same thing I’ve told you a thousand times before,” it’s a sure sign that she’s about to say something completely different. Cruz seems to think that Jean-Pierre’s words can’t be trusted and that she’s constantly changing her story.

The senator’s comments came the day after Hunter Biden’s federal court hearing, which didn’t go as planned. The plea agreement that was supposed to be in place fell apart, with lawyers disagreeing about its terms. U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika also expressed concerns about the deal.
Cruz believes that the failed plea agreement was meant to give Hunter Biden a slap on the wrist and cover up any involvement from his father, President Joe Biden. He thinks that as more evidence came out, it became impossible for the Delaware U.S. attorney’s office to ignore it and stand by the deal. Cruz is glad that the agreement fell apart because he thinks it was a bad deal from the start and was only meant to protect the Bidens from facing any consequences for their alleged corruption.
In response to the situation, Noreika has given both the prosecutors and Hunter Biden’s defense team 30 days to further discuss the details of the agreement. The case will be revisited in the coming weeks. It remains to be seen what will happen next, but it’s clear that Cruz isn’t buying any of the excuses or explanations coming from the White House.
