Deep Blue State Wavering New Poll Shocks Biden

President Biden is experiencing a bit of a rough patch, according to a recent poll from the Siena College Research Institute. In the traditionally Democratic state of New York, Biden’s favorability and job approval ratings have taken a hit. His favorability now stands at a measly 45%, down from 50% in September, while his job approval ratings have dropped to 46%. Ouch!

But the bad news doesn’t stop there. It seems that even Democrats are growing tired of Biden. A whopping 52% of Democrats now say they want a different presidential nominee in 2024. That’s a significant shift from just last month when 54% of Democrats were still on the Biden train. Looks like his honeymoon period is officially over.

And when it comes to a head-to-head match-up with former President Trump, Biden’s lead has dwindled. He’s now only ahead by 9 points, down from a comfortable 21-point lead last month. Things get even dicier in a four-way race that includes independents Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornell West. In that scenario, Biden’s lead shrinks even further to just 7 points. Yikes!

But it’s not just Biden’s popularity that’s tanking in New York. The influx of migrants is also a major concern for voters. A whopping 84% of voters see the recent influx as a serious problem, with 57% saying it’s a “very serious” issue. Those numbers have jumped up since August, when only 54% viewed it as very serious. Looks like New Yorkers are getting fed up with all these new arrivals.

Overall, this poll paints a bleak picture for President Biden in New York. Even though Democrats still outnumber Republicans by a wide margin in the state, their support for Biden is waning. And with the 2024 elections just around the corner, things are not looking good for Sleepy Joe. Perhaps he should start worrying less about his Build Back Better agenda and more about winning back the hearts and minds of New Yorkers.
