Defiant GOP Maverick Vows to Boycott Primary if Trump Barred!

Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy is taking a bold stand to defend democracy and ensure that former President Donald Trump’s name is on the Colorado primary ballot. In an impassioned post on social media, Ramaswamy denounced the attempts to exclude Trump as an “un-American, unconstitutional, and unprecedented decision” by a group of Democrat judges. He demanded that his fellow primary contenders, including former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, Governor Ron DeSantis, and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, join him in standing up against this affront to democracy.

Ramaswamy made it clear that he will withdraw from the Colorado GOP primary if Trump is not allowed to be on the ballot, emphasizing that the bipartisan establishment is using underhanded tactics to bar Trump from holding office again. He called on his fellow candidates to take immediate action, warning them that failing to do so would mean tacitly endorsing the illegal maneuver to exclude Trump from the ballot, which he believes would have disastrous consequences for the country.

In addition to his social media post, Ramaswamy presented a constitutional argument against the ruling, emphasizing that the 14th Amendment was not intended to bar a former president like Trump from seeking reelection. He argued that the provision was originally meant to prevent former U.S. officials who switched to the Confederacy from seeking public office, and insisted that the Founding Fathers would be appalled to see it weaponized in this way.

Ramaswamy’s commitment to defending democracy was further solidified in a video statement, in which he underscored his condemnation of the attempt to exclude Trump from the ballot and called on his primary rivals to follow his lead in withdrawing from the Colorado primary. He warned them that not taking a stand against the security state’s efforts to shut down Trump would make them complicit in the scheme.

While Chris Christie did not immediately pledge to withdraw from the primary as Ramaswamy had urged, he did speak out against the court’s decision, asserting that Trump should not be prevented from being president by any court, but rather by the voters of the country. This partial support from Christie highlights the growing disapproval of the attempt to keep Trump off the ballot and adds momentum to Ramaswamy’s bold stance to ensure that democracy prevails in the upcoming elections.
