Staff ReportsMembers of the once-unified Democratic Party are starting to show signs of panic as they realize that President Joe Biden, their apparent leader and defender of the so-called “progressive values,” is not quite what they sold him to be. After a debate performance that could best be described as a train wreck, Biden hung up his running shoes in July. Astonishingly, with just two weeks until he exits the Oval Office, some Democrats are willing to take a hard look in the mirror, and what they’re seeing isn’t pretty.
Statements are beginning to leak from within the party, revealing deep-seated concerns about the President’s ability to actually hold the office, never mind run for reelection. One Democratic senator hinted that accountability is on the horizon, suggesting that Biden’s faithful aides went to extreme lengths to keep him hidden. Apparently, he was treated like a houseplant—watered when necessary but kept out of sight.
The revelation that numerous party members had significant doubts about Biden’s mental sharpness prior to the infamous debate might come as a surprise to absolutely no one who has been paying attention. Still, it seems they were “too polite” to rock the boat and questioned the thought processes of the party’s leadership openly. It’s refreshing to see Democrats now acknowledge their own cowardice in the face of party loyalty, admitting they had reservations about the nominee but chose to ignore the elephant in the room until it was too late.

Senator Mazie Hirono from Hawaii appears to be in full deflection mode, refusing to dive into the grim reality of the situation. Instead of dealing with Biden’s decline head-on, she prefers to focus on what’s coming next for “this administration,” as if that’s a comforting statement amid a flurry of doubts about the current administration’s leadership.
Chuck Schumer’s response to accusations that he and other top Democrats misled the public about Biden’s capabilities went off without a hitch, with his emphatic insistence of innocence ringing hollower than a drum. Clearly, these leaders have had their heads buried in the sand, and the fallout will shake their party to its core. Meanwhile, the rest of America is left to wonder if this chaos will inspire any meaningful change or just lead to more cover-ups and excuses from a party that once prided itself on transparency.
