In the midst of chaos within the Democrat ranks following Joe Biden’s disastrous debate showing, word on the street is that a secret plan is in the works to salvage what’s left of the sinking ship. Rumor has it that the party is looking towards Oprah Winfrey and Taylor Swift to come to the rescue and unite the fractured party before they face an open convention sans the current president.
The whispers say that Democrats are drafting a memo that would see Biden graciously stepping aside as the nominee before the month is out, paving the way for a lightning-fast primary process leading up to the August 19 convention. The aim? To hit the reset button on a campaign overshadowed by Biden’s cringeworthy debate flop, which seems to be on endless repeat.

If the plan goes ahead, the top six candidates favored by delegates would duke it out in a series of high-profile public forums, potentially moderated by the likes of Winfrey, Swift, and even Michelle Obama. Delegates would then employ ranked choice voting to select a nominee before the Chicago showdown kicks off.
It’s worth noting that both Winfrey and Swift threw their weight behind Biden in 2020, but interestingly, they’ve kept mum this time around as Biden’s popularity takes a nosedive. Winfrey dodged questions about Biden’s re-election bid, while Swift, known for her anti-Trump stance, has surprisingly sat out of the endorsement game this election cycle.
As Democrat support for Biden crumbles and pressure mounts for him to bow out gracefully, the president remains stubbornly adamant that he’s not going anywhere. Will the Democrats manage to pull off their last-minute Hail Mary play with Winfrey and Swift at the helm? Stay tuned.
