Less than half of Democrats are getting warm fuzzies thinking about Joe Biden being their presidential nominee, according to a recent Gallup survey that’s got some folks on the left feeling a bit queasy. It seems the thought of ol’ Joe stumbling through a debate against the Orange Man himself, Donald Trump, is enough to make them reach for the antiperspirant.
The numbers are pretty stark – with less than 50 percent of Democrats feeling giddy about Biden as their choice, while a solid 79 percent of Republicans are happily backing Trump. The enthusiasm gap is sounding alarm bells for Biden’s camp, especially with more than half of Democrats in the poll indicating they’d prefer someone else to carry the party’s torch.

Despite also being on the twilight side of life, it seems that Trump doesn’t raise the same level of concern among voters. That’s gotta sting for Uncle Joe.
As the first debate looms and both parties gear up for the final stretch before election day, the numbers paint a not-so-rosy picture for the Democrats. Trump’s pulling ahead in swing states and national polls, while Biden’s campaign looks more like a sinking ship by the minute.
