The latest stunt from the Democrats would be laughable if it weren’t so deceitful. A Democratic super PAC, Pennsylvania Values, decided to disguise itself as a pro-Trump supporter, airing an ad that pulled clips from former President Donald Trump’s 2020 speeches to discourage early voting among his followers.
In predictable fashion, the ad kicks off with a dramatic call to “MAGA Patriots” to listen to Trump, followed by various clips from 2020 where he railed against mail-in voting, calling it “totally corrupt.” The ad wraps up urging viewers to “stand strong with President Trump against mail-in voting,” trying to convince them to hold back and only vote on Election Day.
Yet behind the curtain, this propaganda piece is paid for by the left-wing super PAC Pennsylvania Values, which neatly avoids mentioning its true allegiance anywhere in the ad. The grand reveal of sponsorship only comes at the tail end, leaving viewers to assume this is a legitimate pro-Trump message.

Organizations like the Sentinel Action Fund, Republican State Leadership Committee, and Keystone Renewal PAC were quick to condemn this as classic Democrat “disinformation,” noting how it misrepresents the evolving conservative stance on early voting. Trump himself has updated his views, clarifying in an April post on Truth Social that absentee voting, early voting, and Election Day voting are all valid forms of civic participation.
This isn’t a new tactic for the left. Remember Douglass Mackey, also known as Ricky Vaughn? He created tongue-in-cheek memes in 2016 suggesting voters could cast their ballots by text. For his efforts, he was slapped with a conspiracy against rights charge and sentenced to seven months in prison. The left cried foul over voter suppression, but when the shoe is on the other foot, it’s suddenly fair game.
It’s typical. The Democrats, armed with misleading tactics they would decry as criminal if used against them, go unchecked while conservative voices face severe repercussions for far milder antics. The double standard continues, with one side shamelessly playing dirty while the other is punished for even the slightest misstep.
