The NAACP President, Charlie Baker, seems to have forgotten where he stands as he urges NCAA athletes in Florida to avoid public universities due to Governor Ron DeSantis cutting state funding for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. The NAACP’s dramatic plea came after DeSantis signed the “Stop WOKE Act,” eliminating financial support for DEI programs.
Governor DeSantis believes in promoting merit and achievement over divisive group identification, a sentiment that should be celebrated, not condemned! It’s about time someone stood up against the leftist agenda infiltrating our schools. Baker and the NAACP are quick to label the prudent actions of Governor DeSantis and the University of Florida as “anti-Black,” shamelessly playing the race card to push their biased narrative.

It’s refreshing to see Florida leading the charge in banning indoctrination and discriminatory teachings from classrooms through the Stop WOKE Act. Every student, regardless of their race, deserves an education free from political propaganda. Kudos to DeSantis for prioritizing educational freedom and refusing to allow taxpayer dollars to fund divisive ideologies.
Baker’s accusation that DeSantis is devaluing Black America is absurd and baseless. Florida’s education system ranks high, proving that success knows no color in the Sunshine State. It’s time to put an end to the victimhood mentality perpetuated by the likes of Baker and the NAACP and focus on real progress for all students, regardless of race.
While the left continues to play politics and spew false accusations, Florida remains steadfast in its commitment to quality education for all. Other states, like Texas, are wise to follow Florida’s lead in eliminating DEI programs that only serve to divide students along racial lines. Let’s celebrate Governor DeSantis’ bold actions and reject the fear-mongering tactics of those who seek to undermine our democracy with their divisive rhetoric.
