DeSantis Exposes Woke Threat to Military; CNN Analyst Shrugs It Off

In a recent interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis tackled the pressing issue of wokeness and its impact on military recruiting and retention. DeSantis boldly highlighted the negative consequences of this ideology on the armed forces, pointing out the decline in morale and the alarming drop in military enlistment. But, according to political analyst Bakari Sellers, DeSantis is missing the mark, as the average American is more worried about their economic well-being than these so-called woke cultural issues.

DeSantis confidently questioned the state of military recruitment, citing the lowest numbers seen since the Vietnam War. He attributed this decline partially to the misguided priorities caused by the prevalence of wokeness. The governor argued that when the military loses its focus on its core mission and instead indulges in various distractions, it fails to inspire potential recruits.

Sellers, however, dismissed DeSantis’ concerns as being out of touch with the everyday American. He claimed that the focus on wokeness was a trivial matter, asserting that the economy should take precedence. According to Sellers, the average person is more worried about their pocketbooks and the practical concerns of daily life than abstract concepts like wokeness. To him, DeSantis’ focus on cultural issues is akin to campaigning against imaginary creatures and has no relevance to the pressing economic challenges faced by ordinary Americans.

In Sellers’ view, DeSantis’ campaign against wokeness is nothing more than a fairy tale or a figment of his imagination. These ideological battles, according to Sellers, distract from the real issues that plague the American people. While DeSantis is busy fighting windmills, the hardworking individuals across the street, like those constructing a hotel, are more concerned about putting food on the table and securing their financial stability.

It is quite telling that Bakari Sellers, a CNN political analyst, dismisses the impact of wokeness on society and military recruitment. The prevailing liberal narrative aims to downplay the significance of wokeness and its detrimental effects on various aspects of our nation, including our military. By belittling this issue and focusing solely on the economy, Sellers chooses to ignore the broader cultural concerns that shape our society. It is crucial to have leaders like DeSantis who are willing to address these ideological excesses and redirect our focus toward preserving our core values and ensuring a strong and capable military.
