Never Back Down, the Super PAC supporting Gov. Ron DeSantis’ 2024 presidential campaign, got itself into a little hot water on the day of the first Republican primary debate. The PAC was suspended from X, and nobody knows why. It’s like they vanished into thin air!

Some are speculating that Elon Musk may have the answers, as he’s been tagged by a bunch of important folks asking for an explanation. But so far, all we’ve gotten is silence. This is a big problem, folks. Suspending a candidate’s PAC on such an important day is just plain unfair. This kind of censorship used to happen all the time back when Twitter was under different management. It was blamed on the algorithm, but who knows?

Now, there are a few possibilities for why Never Back Down got the boot. Maybe X actually found that they violated the terms of service. Or maybe one of DeSantis’ competitors organized a reporting campaign like we’ve seen before. If that’s the case, X needs to get its act together and show that they won’t tolerate this kind of manipulation.
Thankfully, the account has been restored! Turns out, it was just a big misunderstanding. The system “incorrectly” labeled the account as spam. Really, X? That’s the best you’ve got? Representatives for the PAC are now demanding answers about whether they were targeted by pro-Trump bot farms. We need to know the truth, X!
So there you have it, folks. Never Back Down is back up and running. Let’s hope they don’t run into any more trouble on the campaign trail. But seriously, X, you’ve got some explaining to do. Don’t mess with DeSantis!
